What a year it’s been for everyone here at Arronbrook!

Here we take a look back at an eventful 12 months...

January

The new year kicked off in hectic style with our highly-skilled workforce trying to complete a bumper order from our friends at Rodeo Caravans in Belgium, one of our biggest and long-time European customers.

Febuary

A major investment in video technology enables customers to take a virtual 360-degree video tour of all our luxury holiday homes so they can see and feel their quality before placing an order. This innovative feature continues to prove popular with online customers.

March

We were proud to play a leading role in a play which documented the city’s Triple Trawler Tragedy as part of the UK City of Culture 2017 celebrations. The drama, entitled Senses of The Sea, relied upon our endless supply of timber and boards to create an amazing stage and set the scene on board the Kingston Peridot trawler.

Hundreds of people attended to watch the play which was put on by the 5 Senses Expressive Arts and Education Centre for Vulnerable Adults, which is located next door to our head office on Popple Street in Hull.

April

Before enjoying some Egg-cellent time off for Easter, our skilled staff worked hard to create a large batch of bespoke caravans for highly-valued Dutch customer Anita Weering.

We also paid a memorable visit to sunny Somerset to see Karen at Happy Days Caravan Park, before visiting Pinmoor Holiday Park in Brean and, the following day, we went onto Padstow to see David & Leroy Chandler from Trethias Farm Caravan Park.

May

As the weather got warmer, we were truly delighted to be contacted by Rt Hon David Curry, Chief Editor of The Parliamentary Review, to ask us for our opinion on the caravan industry. We were also proud to be nominated for an award as part of the Humber Business Week celebrations.

June

Director Paul Coombs was all smiles as he attended the awards ceremony for the Humber Business Awards at KCOM Craven Park. He was delighted to showcase the talents of his local workforce after being shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious 'Made in Hull' category.

July

The start of the caravan show season got underway with our annual visit to The Great Yorkshire Show - the premier agricultural event in England - where we displayed our ever-popular Luxihome range in partnership with long-time customer Bridlington Caravans.

August

After enjoying a few well-earned weeks off, our ‘Summer shutdown’ finally came to an end and we turned our attention to making our 2018 range of luxury caravans - ready to show off to dealers and the public at our traditional Annual Show.

September

It’s show time! We celebrated another successful event at Cottingham Parks Lodge and Caravan Show, where we welcomed a host of new and old customers. Displaying all three new 2018 models alongside Bridlington Caravans, the feedback we received was very heartening as our giant tepee caught the eye again.

October

With exports now accounting for more around 60% of our orders, we dusted down our passports for a road trip to Belgium, where we paid a visit to two of our long-time European customers. Hans Staelens at Rodeo Caravans was the first port of call for this whistle-stop tour, before we headed off to see brothers-in-law Jacques & Philippe at nearby Caravan Centrum.

November

Happy birthday to us!

The highlight of the year saw us celebrate 30 years in business - and at the heart of Hull’s caravan industry. As everyone who attended the event will testify, the drinks did not stop flowing as we laid on a celebratory freebie at Garbo’s Bar & Grill in Hull.

December

Our successful annual show continued to deliver positive results as we were contacted by caravan dealers from Wales and France with a view to supplying them with bespoke models during the next 12 months.

With sales to Ireland, Belgium and Norway still going strong, we believe the future’s looking bright for 2018.
